The New Secret Patch is Here

Good morning everyone,

At this point, you guys know the drill. We take great care to make sure that our secret patch is worthy of you and demonstrates our gratitude for your support of TFBTV. We've done IR reflective patches, official Crye Multicam patches, even authentic Hawaiian (as in actually from the Hawaiian islands) shirt scrap patches.

Unfortunately, this takes a long time to source the materials and find someone to do the weird, kinky things we like to do for patches. The idea to use German Flecktarn came about maybe a year ago; Hop and I are both Flecknerds and polls showed that many of you liked the idea also. FYI, the word 'Flecktarn' is a composite formed from the German "Fleck" (blotch) and Tarnung (camouflage).

But as with anything, we asked ourselves "how can we make this better?"

Thus, we bought actual, issued Bundeswehr uniforms from Germany and had them sent to the US in February. We shipped the BDUs to Mil-Spec Monkey, who sliced up the fabric and selected a mustard-color TFB logo as a nod to the Teutonic heritage of these uber-patches.

These were all cut by hand and every single one will be unique - even the patterns and shades will be different as we used mixed sets of issued BDUs.

We are sorry this took so long, but it's necessary to be done right and to make something special. And because our support base has grown so much, we know that the old rule of making just 100 patches is now more of a problem to you than a perk. Starting with the Hawaiian run, we are making lots of 200. They are always all spoken for by the time they are made and we want to make sure everyone gets one.

I say this every time, but this patch might be the best one yet?
