Making of Mitutoyo Toolmaker Microscope LED Light

When I bought this microscope it only had the profile lamp under the XY table but not the lights that go above the table. So I made this small LED ring light that fit snugly around the lens of the microscope and attaches securely to the microscope using 4 small but powerful magnet (N52). The housing is made out of Delrin.

These old microscopes use a mains transformer located in its base. I don't like that because it's not very well protected so the next project will be to modify the profile light source to LED as well,.
That way I can use the same 12V power supply for both lights.
