Many conservatives talk about how much they hate "big government" and how they want a smaller decentralized government, but what they really mean is that they dislike the government they've had most recently, that is, the dominantly Neo-Conservative / Neo-Liberal establishment.
Conservatives should seek to use government power to achieve their political goals, and shape a better country, instead of attempting to be as hands-off as possible whenever they come to power. Conservatives shouldn't fear big government.

"Conservatives shouldn't fear big government."
When you see this kind of comment....you are looking at someone who
is either (1) a deep state shill or (2) clueless about the devistating danger
of a "big government" entrenched bureaucracy. You micht want to ask
a farmer terrorized by the EPA or a law abiding gun owner who has to
deal with another "entrenched bureaucracy". In the case of the ATF you
are now seeing bureacrats actually creating law... Any big organization
that decides to be like congress has to be shut down...it is not any longer
capable if being used for anything,,,its doors must be shut and its managers
jailed for ururpation of power....
