Search and Rescue Assist! High Mountain Helicopter Rescue for an injured hiker.

We are On the Road Again, this time to assist the Search and Rescue get to an injured hiker. The winds were so bad the helicopter could not recover the victim. So we spent the night packing gear up the mountain. Our main goal was to get someone to the victim. Several Search and Rescue members hiked in on different trails and about 2 am, members of the team were able to make it to the victim. We were above them with about 1500 foot elevation in the cliffs with more gear, but unable to reach them. We decided after consulting with the SAR with the victim to stand by until morning in case the helicopter was not able to lift the victim out. Luckily the winds subsided for about and hour and they were able to lift the victim to safety. We then had to ensure everyone got off the mountain safely.
