This is my first book review; moving forward, I hope to cover more literature on this channel because literature is awesome. And because I think Utreon could always benefit from additional content!

And no, I don't talk about Objectivism because I don't know much about it. This review is not an endorsement nor a repudiation of Ayn Rand's broader philosophical ideas; this review exclusively covers The Fountainhead, which I believe to be a great book regardless of one's political/philosophical leanings.

Songs used:
"Witch's Theme" from Shining Force 2
"Lively Town" from Shining Force 2
"Mt. Thunder" from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team
"Spiral Mountain" from Banjo Kazooie
"Friends on the Road" from Power of the Hired
"Track 17" from Valhollian
"Bonta" from Dofus
"Bombardment" from Skies of Arcadia
"The Evils of War" from Front Mission
"Tsukimisou" from Touhou 8: Imperishable Night
"Painful Battle" from Langrisser 5: The End of Legend
"Down the Mountain Stream" from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
"Coastal Elegance" by me

About Harvester of Eyes

SRPG reviews, tier lists, etc every Saturday. Other videos sporadically, whenever I feel like it. There's plenty of Utreon-exclusive content here - including let's plays, music reviews, and book book reviews -that you won't find on anywhere else. Utreon is THE place to be!

Great review. The best part of the book is about the last quarter. There were a lot of bad decisions made by major characters before that. I kept shouting (inside my head) at Roark not to do something. But that is Ayn Rand's way. But still a very good book. I preferred Atlas Shrugged, mainly because of the "Scifi" parts of it, like the Motor, Reardon Steel, The Xylophone Project, Galt's Gulch camouflage field and even Wyatt's new way of extracting oil.
Ayn Rand always has characters with flaws even though the main characters have a strong belief in the mind of man.

Interesting, I'll have to give Atlas Shrugged a read sometime. I've heard mixed things about it: hardcore Objectivists swear by it and deem it her best work, while detractors say it's too on-the-nose and preachy. Either way, I heard that Rand herself believed it to be her greatest work, so it's certainly something I'll have to read eventually.

Btw, I just followed your channel the other day. Love what you're doing with the survivalist videos! Looking forward to seeing more.

Yeah. I found you when you followed me. My only other followers are a couple Utreon employees and a couple spammers. But as a hermit I am just doing it for fun(?) not for fame and fortune. And I figured someone who took their tag from a Blue Oyster Cult song couldn't be all that bad. I'm not much into gaming but I like your philosophy of life.
I only post here and Odysee. But my only internet is weak LTE and not fast enough to use Odysee much.
I did a 30 days living off the land blog about 10 years ago. I decided to do some video updates but mostly I just ramble on.
By the way, my daughter recently moved back from Chicago to buy a small homestead nearby. She tried comedy at Second City for a few years but found out they don't do comedy. The do shows for Clapter, not laughter. They make a political statement and expect people to smile and clap, not laugh. She still works online. She produces and edits an online show call UnsafeSpace.com. She is mostly behind the scenes and moderates. They are on Odysee too since 'Tube keeps giving them timeouts. Check it out if you're interested. Their live shows are Monday and Friday at 2pm EST. unsafespace.com/live
I'll keep an eye out for your videos. I can't read Japanese so some games are out. I am fairly good at Tagalog.

Neat! I don't really listen to too much political commentary these days since everything going on in the world is just... bleh, but I'll check out Unsafespace.

I'm happy to hear you recognize the BOC reference. If you have the time, check out my Telepath Tactics review - there's a little something in there you might appreciate. Unfortunately, most of the stuff I upload is gaming related, so it looks like we might not have that much in common there, although I do want to make music/book reviews intermittently on this channel too.

I saw Blue Oyster Cult in concert in 1979 in Pittsburgh.

I finally got the show my daughter produces, UnsafeSpace, to create a Utreon account. They are live streaming via streamyard for the first time on Utreon today at 2pm ET. Today they are interviewing Mark Pelligrino (Lucifer from Supernatural and Jacob from Lost). Mark is a big Ayn Rand fan. https://utreon.com/v/FyToPCv9gBQ
