In the 1920s, Prohibition became the law of the land and produced a new type of criminal; one where ruthlessness dictated the business model and wholesale murder arbitrated any disputes between those who wanted control of the enterprise. One cold February morning in 1929, proved to be the quintessential exertion of power and to this day, even though rumor and innuendo suggested that one man may have planned the event, historians and criminologists still cannot determine with any certainty the actual culprit of the infamous crime.
