In this special episode Matt has the privilege of field stripping a Heckler & Koch G11. He strips the rifle down into its major assemblies and then explains how the 'space magic' works.
Matt explains how the recoil management system, that compensated for the recoil of firing a 3-round burst at ~2,000rpm, worked and how rifle's ingenious rotating breech worked. We hope this video goes some way towards showing just how complex and ambitious the G11 was.
The G11 is an absolutely fascinating piece of firearms design and engineering. For more photographs of the G11 disassembled please check out the accompanying blog at https://armourersbench.com/
