Pair Programming with OhMyPosh's Jan De Dobbeleer - Together we code a Nightscout segment in Go!Vote
Some remote Pair Programming with OhMyPosh's Jan De Dobbeleer - Together we code a Nightscout segment in Go!
This was shot in one single take, 2 hours, no editing. Scott is a Type 1 diabetic and has a REST API for his blood sugar using the Nightscout Project's open source software connected to a Dexcom. He also has a great pretty command line prompt thanks to OhMyPosh.dev. Can Jan and Scott make a segment for Scott's prompt that includes his realtime blood sugar?
We make a custom command prompt for Diabetes LIVE!
We'll use and learn:
- VS Code
- VS Live Share - Scott and Jan are 9 time zones apart and code in the same editor! Simultaneously!
- VS DevContainers - There's ZERO setup involved as all our work, the Go SDK, builds and tests entirely in a docker container on Windows 11 powered by WSL2 and Docker Desktop with the VS Code Remote Containers extension.
Follow Scott's final PR here https://github.com/JanDeDobbeleer/oh-my-posh/pull/1288 as we wait to see it merged and ship in OhMyPosh v.next!
