There are an estimated 3 million shipwrecks at the bottom of the sea, of which less than %1 have been explored. For as long as ships have been lost to the sea, man has strived -- and contrived -- to find them, to recover their treasures and discover their secrets. This is no simple or easy task, for what the sea takes, it fights hard to keep.
Only in the last half century has man gained the knowledge and the tools to search for, find and explore any shipwreck, anywhere on the planet. As man reaches down into the depths and sheds light on wrecks which have lain in darkness for centuries, what he finds will change our understanding of human history.
