I began my career with NCSO in 2001. I currently serve as the Captain over the Communications Division.
I have earned my Master Peace Officer license, my Master Jailer license, and my Master Telecommunicator
license. I have an Associates in Applied Science Criminal Justice degree and also a Certificate for
Peace Officer Skills through Navarro College. I am a TCOLE instructor, an agency training officer, an
instructor for the Navarro College Police Academy, a NCIC/TCIC Associate Trainer, and the Region 1
Vice President for the Texas Association of Hostage Negotiators. I have been recognized as the Deputy
of the Quarter in 2004, Officer of the Year in 2014, and Communications Officer of the Year in 2015.
While I was assigned to the patrol unit I realized a need for trained negotiators. I worked with the
SWAT commander, attended the training, and now I am the team leader in charge of all quarterly trainings
and all negotiation operations during team call outs along with all record keeping. I became an active
member of TAHN several years ago and was honored for the opportunity to represent Region 1 and assist
with Negotiation training in my region.
