Is it the worst Langrisser game? Probably. Do I still kind of enjoy it? Probably.
This importantly marks my final Langrisser review. The only other game I could cover is Langrisser Millennium, but I have no idea how to play it so I doubt I will ever finish that game. It's sad because I had hoped to end my coverage of Langrisser on a more positive note... still, you can probably expect the occasional playthrough of Langrisser 2 at least.

Langrisser? More like... LOLIgrissser XD. Honestly, it looks better than Korra 3DS, maybe because it isn't an adaptation (ie no lacking Asami issue.) The thing about lolis in this game vs FE13 is Nowi was the sole loli in FE13, whereas this game seems to have several. Not having Urushihara is a minus, but yay for support convos/storyline, that alone makes we want to check it out someday in the future. Actually, this game's art is worse than Langrisser: HD's, and that's saying something as I really hated L:HD's imo bland artsyle (to it's credit, L:HD let you revert to Urushihara's art.) Not just lolis, but that one character is a maid... weeb game indeed.
Interesting--this game's battle map presentation is so similar to Fire Emblem Awakening's that it almost looks like this was an attempt to ride its coattails! (The combat animations look like a clumsy, low-rent attempt to recreate that style as well.)
Anyway, I don't want to get in the way of covering more indie SRPGs, but I've got a few 3DS recs. Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest is a super lopsided entry with an absolute trash-fire-tier story and few truly worthwhile support conversations, and yet somehow it also has the very best mechanics and map design in all of Fire Emblem. Not even joking. On the other end of that spectrum is Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia with great characters, an interesting story, beautiful artwork...and some of the most slapdash, tedious map design I have ever seen in an SRPG. There are also the Devil Survivor games, which utilize an interesting amalgamation of Shin Megami Tensei and SRPG mechanics. I've only played the first one; the premise is super interesting, but the characters are flat, the story progresses at a snail's pace, and your access to different demons grows too slowly for my liking. I got kinda bored after a while so I never finished it, but I think it's worth experiencing.
FE14 is a game that I've vowed to never play. FE15 is already on my to-do list though; FE2 was a very good game for its time and I'm interested in seeing what "Intelligent" Systems ended up doing for the remake.
Didn't Shinjiro Takada work on some of the SMT games? Those are ones that I've gotta cover at some point.
