Over a period of time I've come to feel that both audiences and critics occasionally tend to praise films for inane things, like using practical effects (as opposed to praising how good the practical effects are) which I find strange seeing as though this is how films have been made for a long time. Other films tend to advertise certain political or social elements of their films that somehow people find to be revolutionary (such as strong female characters) when in fact movies have had these things for ages! I iz confused...
