Masterclass: Sony Video Autofocus - Part 1 with Philip BloomVote
After 9 months of exhaustive tests I have finally finished my two-part masterclass on the video autofocus of the Sony Alpha and FX cameras.
These videos were commissioned by Sony Europe for the Alpha Academy website which you can access at https://www.sony.co.uk/alphauniverse/alpha-academy
Part 2 of this series which is double the length of this video and covers a huge amount is available to watch for free at the above address. It won't be uploaded to YouTube I am afraid!
To watch it and the other training videos there, you will be prompted to sign in/register a MySony account which is free. You probably already have one as it's the same across all Sony products; the only caveat is because this was made for Sony Europe you will need a European Sony account login so you might need to create a new account on the European page you are on.
Some people in far-flung countries have told me they had to use a VPN to appear to be in Europe to even create the account.
Once you've done that on the main Alpha Academy page click "join now" then scroll down to "filmmaking" and then "masterclass".
I am sorry it's so complicated and I wish there was a direct link, but I promise you it's easier than it sounds and is totally worth it!
