2Early in The Great War, the SMS Emden — a small German cruiser — sank or captured 25 enemy ships, debilitating British shipping in the region. Lead by Captain Karl Von Müller, the Emden was tenacious, fierce, but most of all chivalrous to captured merchants, earning them respect from allies and enemies alike.
