Recently CD Projekt Red announced that they'd be doing something unconventional to fix Cyberpunk 2077 - Hiring modders. This is after an excruciating launch/post launch, in which it was clear progress on the game was slow.
The modders are a group called Yigsoft, and manage the modding client WolvenKit. Could this be a trend setting moment in the industry? Will modders become more officially respected and compensated? Or will this lead to lazier game development?
Only time will tell!
