On the evening of September 18, 2020, Justice of the US Supreme Court Ruth Bader Ginsburg died from cancer complications.

Hers was a legendary run as SCOTUS jurist with seminal cases decided (and dissented to) left and right, at all times based on her insightful and incisive application of the law. Whether you agreed or disagreed, her clear writing let you know without doubt how she felt the law applied and exactly why she was ruling the way she was.

Further, her friendship with complete political opposite Justice Antonin Scalia was equally legendary (and important), as she lived a life that showed what "reasonable minds can differ" can truly mean.

As we turn now towards a 2020 political season that was already hot; with the fight to replace such a figure now looming, it's hard to imagine that it didn't just become boiling.

Rest in Peace Justice Ginsburg.
