CAN Buy Me Love: MatPat, The Game Theorists, and Epic Games

When The Game Theorists and their 13M YouTube subscribers attempted to tackle the Epic vs Apple conflict in "Game Theory: The Secret Fortnite Agenda NO ONE Is Talking About!", we were thrilled that bigger channels were finally starting to discuss these important issues.

But as we noted in response, there were definitely problems with their analysis, not the least of which was an overly cloying end segment in which Epic's moves were described as "brilliant" and "just the tip of the iceberg", before finishing with a request that commenters ask for more content regarding the "Epic Story".

Now, much has been made clear, as Epic Games has purchased a 2+ minute advertising read for Fortnite from MatPat and company, not on The Game Theorists channel (for reasons unknown...or at least unstated), but on The Film Theorists one - the two channels owned and operated by the same entity.

To be fair, we never trust a rat...in Virtual Legality.
