In this wonderful presentation, my friend Baxter Francis takes us on a journey into the childhood and early life of Napoléon Bonaparte. But, the episode does not start with the birth of the man who will go on to become one of the most influential figures in world history.

Baxter actually begins by taking us into the Ancient world and delivers a brief history of Ancient, Medieval and eventually Modern Corsica in order ton explain a beautiful but harsh land whose peoples and society will forever influence Napoleon in the most critical stages of his childhood.

We explore family scandals, his lineage, the myths that we encounter but more importantly this episode sets the stage for our future episodes on a man who would change the world forever.

A man named Napoleon.
