My car makes loud noises at speeds above 50kph (30mph)? Does the sound go away if you turn one direction but not the other? Chances are you have a bad wheel bearing. Wheel bearing diagnosis: Jack up the car and try to wobble the wheel in and out (hold the top and bottom). If it wobbles (at the hub) it's almost guaranteed to be worn out. In this video we show you how to get to your front wheel bearing. Unfortunately it's not easy like cars with a single hub/bearing assembly. The process is likely the same (or very similar) for a Honda Civic around the same year. Amanda is back and today she's learning how to change her brakes (pads & rotors). Not only is this her first brake job, it is also her first DIY oil change. She just bought a 2006 Mazda 3. However, it is making thumping sounds and the steering wheel shakes while braking. This sounds like the symptoms of a warped rotor.
