M1 Carbine
The M1 Carbine was developed in response to a need for a light, easily portable, and accurate rifle that could be used by troops who were not primarily engaged in frontline combat. The M1 Carbine met this need and became one of the most popular weapons of World War II, with over 6 million units produced.
