There are no quick cures for chronic anxiety, but there are effective science-based strategies that can help you overcome and learn to deal with anxiety and the fear associated with it.
These include exposure therapy for fear of particular things and experiences, reframing and reinterpreting stressful and traumatic memories, executive emotional regulation, and mindfulness.
In the brain, the major players in learning and unlearning fear are the frontal lobes, the hippocampus, and the amygdala.
