During last year's quarantine many parents were forced to leave their children at home while they went to work, expecting the kids to make big, responsible, adult-type decisions on a daily basis when it came to online school. Problem was, they weren't big responsible adults, they were children. As a result a lot of kids just checked out and many lost an entire year of learning. So, now that kids are returning to in-person learning, it is more essential than ever for parents to be present in their children's academic lives as they make the bumpy transition from the virtual classroom back to brick and mortar schools.
