Jeep Vs Mule Off Road Recovery

We are On the Road Again, this time to recover a Yamaha Rhino from the Sand Chute above the Virgin River. They had gotten stuck the night before and walked out several miles. Myself and All Terrain Randy headed in from the north and Leon came in from the bottom. He tied up his saddle horse at the bottom of the hill and lead the mules up. We got them hitched and just like we figured they pulled the machine right out and up the hill with no problem. The Sand Chute is the easiest place to recover a vehicle from and they are usually pretty straight forward. Years ago I installed anchor points in the sand with concrete to hook a snatch block to and we run a cable extension through them and pull about any vehicle up out of the bottom in usually a few hours for the total job. So this time we thought we would do something a bit different and hitch the mules up and put them to work. Seriously who wants to watch a winch grind away on a simple little winch job. Hope you enjoy it and Thanks for coming along for the ride. Casey
